Wireless object protection
Piccolo®is an object protection system with discreet wireless detectors. The system is designed for monitoring of works of art in daytime.
Piccolo is a unit to be operated from a PC-programm. A bus with up to 32 wireless receivers makes it possible for the wireless detectors to cover a wide area. Alarms will be received on the PC and the location of the alarm is indicated graphically as well as the position of the guards nearest to the alarm location. External units such as siren, flash signal or camera can also be activated. GSM-modem is can be added as extra equipment. Brochure
Applications
Piccolo® is a wireless unit designed to protect works of art in museums and art galleries. Other applications can be churches, jewelers and exhibitions where people are around the works of art in daytime.
Piccolo® is applicable in almost any surroundings whether freestanding objects such as sculptures or a show case. The wireless technology gives high flexibility and easy handeling of an exposition. The detector batteries have a life span of approx. 5 years and send an alarm when it's time to change the battery.
The wireless object protection system doesn't damage ancient buildings and the discreet design of the detectors makes sure that they will not ruin the artistic experience. The small wireless detectors can be placed out of sight and without the works of art being damaged. Simply place the detector at the back of a painting or on a wall behind the painting.
If the painting is removed an alarm signal will be sent to an alarm receiver. Other equipment gives an alarm if a spectator comes to close to the exposed object.
